Dress for Success Toronto to host An Evening with Lisa LaFlamme, presented by RBC Wealth Management, at the Winter Garden Theatre on Jan. 19

The event will serve as a fundraiser for the non-profit, dedicated to empowering women to achieve economic independence

TORONTO, ON – On Jan. 19, Dress for Success Toronto (DFS Toronto) will host An Evening with Lisa LaFlamme, presented by RBC Wealth Management and VIP Sponsor, Rogers, giving attendees the opportunity to experience a night filled with inspiring conversation as one of Canada’s most beloved journalists discusses her road to success and what’s upcoming in her career.

The century-old Winter Garden Theatre will serve as the perfect backdrop for the evening, welcoming elements of live entertainment and donation opportunities followed by an intimate conversation with veteran journalist LaFlamme. Hosted by anchor Farah Nasser from Global News, the event is set to uplift and empower women to change the trajectory of their future and support one another. The main event will feature a personal conversation led by Robyn Doolittle, journalist at The Globe and Mail, where LaFlamme will discuss her personal journey to career success, her opinion on current affairs affecting women and what’s next for the award-winning journalist. Following the discussion, the audience will be given the chance to participate in a live Q&A to ask LaFlamme their own questions. Questions will be collected via a dedicated QR code which will be distributed to guests ahead of the Q&A period.

“I have always believed in the motivation behind Dress For Success Toronto as a safe space where women help women build confidence to become more comfortable in their own skin,” says Lisa LaFlamme. “I’m thrilled to be part of an organization that values and promotes women in the workforce. We are stronger and better together.”

“Empowering women to take an active role in their financial security is vital to their own lives and to our economy,” said Leanne Kaufman, President and CEO of RBC Royal Trust.  “RBC Wealth Management is  proud to continue our long-time support of Dress for Success Toronto and their mission to help women achieve economic independence.  This is going to be a great event and an opportunity to learn from three of Canada’s most successful journalists.”

“Rogers is committed to helping build a better future for all Canadians, and we are proud to support this event and spotlight the important work of Dress For Success to uplift women personally and professionally,” said Colette Watson, President, Rogers Sports & Media.
