A Suiting Appointment is a unique and personal experience for our Clients. Each woman is paired with a volunteer stylist for a one-on-one consultation, this is a moment where the full focus is on her and helping her shine.
Our clothing donation dates and times have been selected around boutique operations so donation in-take does not occur while Clients are being suited and disrupt their experience. Additionally, designated donation times ensure we are properly resourced to receive, manage, sort, process and display donations in our Boutique. As a small Toronto non-profit, we rely on a dedicated network of volunteers to help manage our donation in-take. To schedule a Clothing Donation Drop-Off, please click here.
Dress for Success Toronto relies on individual contributions of business attire and accessories to encourage our Clients to look and feel their best. Please see our Clothing Donations page for guidelines, clothing drop-off dates & times, as well as more information about our new partnership with Gibson’s Cleaners who have recently begun accepting clothing donations on our behalf.
To ensure that an article of clothing or suit is appropriate for our Clients, ask yourself if you would feel comfortable wearing it to an interview or at work. If the answer is yes, then we would accept it. Learn about our donation policies by clicking here.
Dress for Success Toronto is a registered Canadian Charity (Live to Give Relief Organization, Charity Number: 889786216RR0001) and issues tax receipts for financial donations when eligible. Financial donations of $10 or more are eligible for charitable tax receipts. We do not provide tax receipts for clothing or in-kind donations. Located in New York City, Dress for Success Worldwide was established to oversee and provide support to our affiliates around the globe. The Worldwide office also focuses on strengthening and promoting the Dress for Success brand internationally and developing relationships with corporate, media and other sponsors. Each Dress for Success affiliate location is a member of Dress for Success Worldwide and is an independent non-profit organization with its own policies, staff and board of directors. The Worldwide office licenses the Dress for Success name to affiliates, all of whom fulfill the overall mission of helping women journey towards self-sufficiency. Affiliates provide services to their communities based on local needs, cultural traditions and resources.
